    RE: Snow Sled

Looks like fun! Do you just hang on to the front side points to steer it?

Looks like you have Through M&T's for sides into body...
M&T up to Top's for rest of side parts?

    C O O L !!

    Have Fun

Now that's a real toy to be treasured.

Steering is done by draging one foot or the other while lying on the sled. No M&T at all. Screwed together.

    That's WAY cool.

How did you apply the Santa face and scroll details?

    Snow Sled

I made this old fashoned childs snow sled. Bending the oak by soaking in water over night then bending in a form with glue between the 1/8" strips. Attached metal runners and decoupaged the image on it. Had so much fun I made another. 42" long

I drew with pencil and then painted the scroll on the sides but the image on top is decoupaged on. I print the image on tissue then apply with "Deft" and the unprinted part of the tissue "disappears" Several layers of Deft or Poly over it finishes the process. This butter churn has decoupage on it done the same way. Second Image is a close up of the sled
