RE: Deck chair
thats a cool idea nice job! as a similarly portioned person i can appreciate the negative effects of gravity on an inferior chair! on the Kreg Jig note one of my guys at work told me about them about 6 years ago and i picked one up as i was getting ready to build a complete custom Cherry kitchen. i could not believe how much faster and better it went. i have since given a few pro packs away as Christmas gifts as that thing is one of my most treasured tools!

RE: Deck chair
Looks great Glenmore. That looks real comfortable.
It looks like you used pressure treated lumber so it can stay outside. Are you going to put any finish on it once it dries out a little?

RE: Deck chair
Thanks guys. Yes I intend to use Thompson weather resistant finish I have to another coat on my grilling station that is behind the chair. Figured I wait about a month pretty wet yet with treatment so the longer the absorbent it will become.

RE: Deck chair
Great looking chair!
The manufacturer that made my lawn glider doesn't think a lot of Thompson's. I'll have to find the information they sent me on a finish that is supposed to be more effective and longer lasting.

Deck chair
Hello everyone took a break yesterday from turning pen blanks. I built me a deck chair for a guy my size. I had a new toy to try out it was the kreg pocket hole jig I am really impressed with being that I'm the tester of wood joints didn't hear no creeking or crack it held so here are some pics of it.
