FOR SALE: LEE VALLEY 3 inch High-Carbon Steel Saw Tooth Bit
Made to Lee Valley Tools' exacting specifications, this is a true saw tooth bit, not a forstner bit with rim notches.
The teeth have a skewed shear-cut design to prevent fibre pull and to give clean holes. It has a slightly sloped chipping bevel so that it rides a shallow cone of wood to keep it boring straight. The center brad is thus able to be shorter, increasing the bit's versatility in thin material. As a last touch, the bit has been finished with extra-fine grinding wheels to reduce friction.
