Table saw belt
Would anyone have an idea as to where I can find a motor belt for an old Montgomery Wards Power Kraft table saw? I called the company and the saw is too old that they do not carry the part any longer.

RE: Table saw belt
When my Delta Contractor saw belt required replacing, I bought a link belt. These are non-stretching, no-memory (i.e., indents in belt if belt not used for a time) links of polyester - thus can make any size. They're sold as "performance" enhancements to your table saw in many catalogs. I bought mine at Tool Crib (www.amazon.com).

I use a linked belt on any equipment I own needing a belt. Reduces viberation for better/smother cuts.

You might want to consider a link belt. It could necessitate new pullys but would be well worth the effort. Removes a lot of the vibration from the saw too.

RE: Table saw belt
Take your old belt, and go to the auto parts store. And match it up with a fan belt off a car. That should get the job done.

Try Industrial supply stores bring in the old belt and they will probably have the belt they normally have old stock belts as well! Go to the places that supply Instument mechanics etc I found mine there.
