I use mine a lot. Porter Cable has a really nice one. It includes the 2" blade for the small biscuits used in frames & small stuff. Jim in NC.

I have two I liked 'em so much.

I have the PC557 for the big jobs and the Ryobi DBJ-50 for the small stuff. In actual fact the Ryobi probably gets 10X the use that the PC557 does.

    I tot I taw...

I would have SWORN I saw them in the latest Woodworker's Supply catalog alongside the new Porter-Cable cordless router, but I was wrong. Let me dig around a little - I KNOW they were listed in one of my new catalogs. Northern Tool? Mmmm, not THIS catalog, at least.

Lemme dig. Meanwhile, murmur. Maybe somebody else's got a lead.

I also have the Porter Cable joiner and love it. The hardest thing for me to get through my head is that these biscuits actually work. I've used them on indoor and outdoor projects (with thhe right glue) and they all work great.
I have a litle about my joiner on my site at:

If I was in your position, I'd be on my way to the biscuit joiner store right now!

    Mine is a DeWalt.

For years I swore 'real woodworkers' don't use biscuit jointers... they cut appropriate joints for the task at hand (dovetail, M&T, or whatever). However, now that I own one, I can't believe how I did without one for so long. It sure beats the heck out of 'pocket screws' or dowels. I love it.

It only has the one blade, but 4 different depth settings to accommodate the three biscuit sizes, plus one extra for custom (even bigger) biscuits.

    Cheers, Jules
