RE: It's beginning to look alot like...

Well . . . you are ready for winter . . . I see you have a 'Suby' so you can leave the sin-bin home when the slippery stuff is on the roads . . .

I have a Mazda sedan (not a Suby, but ok in the snow), and a 'sin-bin' of my own . . . a high-top Ford . . . it gets out in the winter, and I actually am one of the few that still likes rear-drive for the snow, but it can be a handful, it's a heavy mother!! My wife avoids driving it if there's fresh powder on the reads though . . . me, I got my licensed on 'Packed-powder' ;) }> .

I got to go and see one 'BROONS' game last year at the Fleet, tickets were a gift from a vendor, last row of the loge, on the 'bench' side of the ice . . . up just high enough that you can see over the glass for most of the rink. Not as good as the time I scored tickets to the Ch 5 skybox (center ice, lower suite level, other side) . . . but darn close!

As to the Sox, wait until next year }>

RE: It's beginning to look alot like...

I actually drove the van all last winter without any trouble (knock wood). It's my first non-4WD rig since I moved to the Berkshires, and I swore I would never have a 2WD vehicle again, but the relentless growth of my family, and the gear that goes along with, convinced us to look a at bigger rig. This was for sale by a friend of the family at the right time, and proved to be too good to pass up. Way Comfy driving.

Only been to the Fleet once. Nice seats via a family member, and the Bruins won by some absurd score :) Used to go to the Garden all the time when I lived in the North End. Could pick up a ticket for a few bucks, and move down front as the game went on. Those were the lean years. Although I did go to one of the (in)famous Bruce Shoebottom playoff games against the Devils }> Now I'm closer to Albany, so tomorrow I'm going to get a bunch of tix to some River Rats games, including a March date with the Providence Bruins. $15 for adults and $8 for kids gets you dead center rink-side. Can't beat that!

    Anyhow, bundle up...here we go!

    RE: Hey Kendemp and Deathwish

    UGH!

Two things that miffed me about that game 7, one was when they showed that shot, and the other was when the announcer said the Sox were five outs away from going to the World Series. Talk about putting the whammie on your team...

I have to admit, i like the caption though :)

It's beginning to look alot like...

    Christmas?????

    No! Its too early. :(

This is what I woke up to yesterday morning. Gimme a break!

Note that I changed the avtar to something more winter appropriate.

Heard these two jokes while watching the flakes fly yesterday:

We get two seasons here -- winter and the 4th of July.

And We get 9 months of winter and 3 months of really lousy sledding.

Seemed funny yesterday, but talk to me in March :)

    Hey Kendemp and Deathwish

First let me say that I am a Texas Rangers baseball fan, so I know a thing or two about disappointment. ;)

I was a Yankees fan as a kid (wasn't everybody) but consider them the evil empire now. Pedro M. is my favorite pitcher. :)

Nevertheless, I ran across this photo and just had to post it for y'all. }>

Kendemp - I am also a Dallas Stars fan. :7
