Lattice frame

I am going to be putting some vinyl lattice under my deck and would like to put a frame around it so it looks a little nicer. Just planning on putting a dado in whatever material and mitering the corners.

My question is what type of material would you guys suggest for this? Pressure treated? Don't really want to spend all that much

I just finished a lattice enclosure to hide an air conditioner, and I used 2 X 6 PT, ripped into 3 strips, each one 1 1/2" X 1 1/2" with a groove centered on one edge.

Worked fine :)

Sounds like exactly what I was thinking about doing.. While I am at it I would like to enclose my AC unit like you did, have any pics of it?

Would love to see what it looks like finished.

Pretty basic stuff... just used what Home Deot carries...

My boss lady said "the air conditioner looks ugly... here's the Corporate Home Depot credit card, make a thing to hide it"

lol, well looks like you made her happy.

Unfortunately I just returned from Home depot, boy does their PT look nasty.

Half of it was cased in dirt and junk, the others just bad looking wood. Guess ill have to look around at some other places for some. Doesn't seem worth the effort to the wood they had in stock there.

Check Lowe's.

Ours advertises the lattice by hanging it above the exit door next to the wood section checkout.
