Time to bring the boat in ... :(
50 deg. and raining here ... my boat is still docked ... hasn't seen a ton of action this year even though it was great weather .. just too busy ...
drove by last night, cover was half off due to me trying to prop it up to repel the rain instead of having it sit in low spots on the cover .. figured it'd be ok for another day and of course solid rain today :(
bilge is probably full of water :( ... if it stops raining tonight, gonna go get it and pull it out (water's prolly 60 - 65 deg now .. brrr ) ... if not, gonna run the pump and put the cover back on so it'll be dry when i go get it over the weekend ..

Ahhh, just take the drain plug out so the rain can drain into the lake.....

RE: Time to bring the boat in ... :(
LMAO Sonny ..
first time i took it out this year, i forgot to check that bilge plug (had it in the shop for a month doing some repairs) ... put it in the water, got it off the trailer ... wouldn't start ...
then, felt coldness on the feet ... water coming in the boat ... uh oh .. back engine compartment was full about 6" deep of water ..
damn!!! .. was floating out (didn't dock it before i tried to start it) ... got out, waded and drug the boat back on the trailer ...
pulled it out of the lake on the trailer ... looked back and bilge plug was off!!! ugh ... damn ppl at the boat service place didn't put it back in ..
but anyways ... finally today got the boat out, and parked in the back yard .. :(
how depressing
had to get out into the water, and pull it back in ...

RE: Time to bring the boat in ... :(
Well, got it in and parked yesterday, after rain Friday and Saturday had to hold things off ..
sucked too ... got there yesterday, tried to start it, wouldn't get a full crank on the engine ... kept cranking it and ended up draining the battery ... ugh :(
took the battery out, went home and charged it up ... came back out 3 hours later and started it up and got it in ...
backed it up behind the house and put it to rest for the winter ...
gonna have to winterize it still but it's in it's final home :(
