    I mus' be.........................

...........gittin' old and soft. Because I live in the south east of South Carolina, I've lived all my life accustomed to a mean annual temperature of 68 degrees. If it freezes here in the winter, people comment on it. If it gets hotter than 90, it makes the local news.
Because I chose construction as a living, I'm in the weather 40 hrs. a week, year round. However, because of the location, it's not all that bad.
This past week, we've had, comparitively speaking, some pretty cold weather. I say comparitively 'cause I know some of y'all get your butts kicked in the winter.
I got my 40 in yesterday and decided to get some errands run and done today. I went outside this AM to fire up the ol' pickup and thought "Dang, it's cold out here". Checked the local conditions on the Weather Channel and they said it's 31 with a wind chill factor of 20. High for today is s'possed to be 44. I've cancelled my plans 'till this afternoon, at the earliest. Might even wait 'till tomorrow.
I mus' be gittin' old an' soft.

Actually it is supposed to warm up to 31 late next week.

I might actually think about some outside chores. Oh wait, we still have 24 inches of snow on the ground.

Garden beds are not accessable yet.

Oh well spring is only 2 months away.

Our dogwood trees are in full bloom. I'm afraid that today's rain will knock all the blossoms off of the trees.

I like that thermometer too. Even though we have had some minor disagreement in how to read it. LOL!!!

I guess I wasn't the only one that thought it 'ran backwards' . . . 'in' for warm, 'out' for cold. :7 }>
