Logging in

Ever since I had to get a new password I have been forced to log in whenever I came back to the forum. I changed the password back to it original once I got back into the site. I have checked the box in my preferences numerous times to automatically log in when I return. Is there something else that prevents this feature from working?

I have to log in every time I leave the forum and return....

I just have to click the log in button, and I auto log in, but I gotta click it every time!

This may be a moot point, but have you guys deleted your cookies and history lately, then made sure the "Log me in automatically" feature is in your profile preferances?
That's what I have found on occasion when something was arye.
I think the forum cookie might crumble and need refreshed sometimes. :7

Yep... looked there first... it is clicked "Log me in automatically" but the little rascal don't work...

Gotta love these boxes of rocks eh :)

Got to wonder if that particular cookie isn't updating.
Recently I deleted all my saved content and cookies, and after asking for a login, everything is back to automatic again.

Try lowering your security settings in IE (if that's what you're using), then trying it again. Certain firewall settings will also block certain cookies.
Don't forget to up them to a suitable level again.

There is one other thing. I know that this may sound stupid but the automatic login requires that you don't log out. At least that is the way that I make my system work. My IE security is set at medium.

along the lines of what Rich said, your IE settings may be where when you close out, the cache gets dumped. Check yer setting.
