Gee, Ken - perhaps they're just looking to buy some of your woodworks. Heh.

RE: New Twist on "The" Scam

hmm! interesting Ken as when I was in England I bought on the web a tool and indicated that they would receive a check in Sterling but could they ship directly to the States.
When I arrived home I had a call from a guy in Champaign Illinois to say that he handled all transactions in the States for this company and that I should send him a check for the transaction in Dollars.. It was quite legit..I just wanted to pay from my English Bank account as the exchange conversion that his quote offered was very poor...
Pity as I would have rather liked to have become the US Distributor myself..except that I would have kept supplies in this country rather than sending orders and having each one shipped directly from the UK.

But it does sound as if yours is a scam of some sort.
