Nice Quiet Birthday

Today was a very relaxing day. I was going to sleep in, but woke up at 6:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. I rolled out and decided to grab some breakfast while watching my Saturday morning home remodeling shows. Caught an interesting episode of Biography about Home Depot.

The rest of the day was spent messing around on the computer, writing a few letters, getting the car washed, finding a new Bluebird family in the house, and a good long afternoon nap. The phone woke me up twice during the nap. Once it was my former mentor when I was a student pastor, calling to let us know that he was praying for us. The other was a response to our online ad to sell our old upright freezer. We only got $60 for it, but that's better than having it sit around.

Now it's time to call it a night and get some sleep before we head out early for St. Louis.

Gee! To think that next year I'll hit 55 and be eligible for all sorts of senior discounts. I guess I'll officially be an old fart then. :)

Great time!! Mary had very little pain, and almost no trouble at all eating real food!! Barbecued turkey, green beans, and a baked potato. Apparently the pain patch and/or pills are starting to do their stuff.

We were a little early for church, so we stopped at a Home Depot just off the interstate. We only stopped for some fan chain so Mary doesn't have to stretch so far and strain the stent or feeding tube, but I couldn't help but look at that DeWalt 12" SCMS. The only thing that stopped the purchase was an empty wallet... oh, and a strict wife. :)

Happy belated birthday Pastor that's some great news about Mary hope she's doing well I prayer's are still coming. Glad to hear you had a nice birthday. By the way I think your Auto insurnce goes down at 55 you lucky dog I have 16 more years till that happens. Remeber the old saying when I'm 16 I get my driver's license and 21 aloud in the beer gardens then there 25 car insurance goes down then it goes down again at 55 then of to 65 to well 75 for retirement you know how they keep moving that up sort of screws up the old saying.
