Pressure Treated Wood
I read an article in the USA News that the government is not allowing the making of pressure treated wood because it is treated with "arsenic". Stores can only sell the stock on hand. No more is to be made.
I have made a few projects out of pressure treated for the outdoors and will in the future want to make more stuff.
Question - what wood is going to take it's place ???

RE: Pressure Treated Wood
Pressure treated takes the place.
Only wood that is treated with CCA is on the 'ban'-wagon . . . PT wood (that is free of arsenic) will remain readily available.

Thanks for the info.
The article didn't explain that pressure treated wood would remain in existance and be treated differently.
Like a wise man once said " a little knowledge is dangerous ".
I'm glad you cleared this up for me and others who may have thought this source was going away.
Again thanks.

RE: Pressure Treated Wood
Hi guys, The new treating process is ACQ Pressure its Ammonia and
Copper and Quaternary Ammonia whatever that is, Ive been told the
downside to the new process is it may be slightly more prone to
mold growth.
