Hey all-
I cut down a black walnut a while back and finally got around to having the butt log sawed a few weeks ago. I ended up with 150-200 bdft of very nice book match lumber. However, I still have the slash that needs to be dealt with. Usually with oak, I just cut out any 8'-9' logs and sell them to the sawmill guy for railroad ties and burn the rest. I am not sure I want to do this with black walnut. There are still some decent boards in there and plenty of crotch wood. I do have a bandsaw and my sawmill guy is willing to cut anything he can get on the mill. I just don't want to take the time to process it out. Maybe I could sell it to another woodworker where it sits or something crazy? What do you guys think?

Thanks,
Doug
