RE: let it snow, let it snow
I'm only about 30 miles South of Ed and we seem to have dodged the bullet. Car looks like a thinly iced cake so most of last nights precipitation looks like sleet.. Two more cups of coffee and I'll venture out to check if it's a coat of quarter inch of ice.
But I'm not going anywhere..too many idiots thinking that 4 wheel drive vehicles makes them invunerable to the effects of friction when they try to stop.

RE: let it snow, let it snow
I am just south of Boston.
1/2 inch of sleet/snow - temps on the way up. It's 32 right now.
It's supposed to get up close to 40 and rain and wind. I can handle than. The snow is getting old. So far this year we really have not gotten much of it. 1 inch so far is the worst. I use a broom for that.
The snow blower sits at the ready though. For all I know we could get 2 feet in April. That would not be a first.
Been cold - low teens almost every night and low to mid 20 in the day.
Maybe Tenn. doesn't sound too bad after all.

Just wait until it snows an inch in Tennessee; they close the state down and everbody goes to the grocery store to stock up for the blizzard.
An inch of snow fell while we were in Cookeville, Tennessee last week, some of the locals were hilarious on wheels. This was our second opportunity to marvel at what amounted to a heavy frost affecting otherwise sane folks.
Measure once... cut twice.

I'll put it this way - I've shoveled the walkway three times so far. The plow guy ain't come yet... and the office just closed up business (schools won't close until all the buses are upside-down in the ditch, and on fire). :)
Jeep's got six inches on it, and growing fast. We're looking at 12 to 24 before noon tomorrow.
