    RE: Mother

Sorry to hear about your bad tidings, Tim, but great news mixed in there too!

Looks like a wonderful place to lay new roots - especially that big ol' Barn....plenty of room for anything you might want to do!

Hope the cat heals quickly, so the miniature dog has something to chase!

    :D

And I was going to wish that your mom gets back on her feet soon too, but it sounds like it would take a major heart attack (if that) to keep her from going to work, so I hope she at least relaxes for a bit while she heals!

Keep us posted with your renos! :D

Sorry to hear about the recent toubles, especially your mother's injury. Sounds like she's tough and independent, though. Bless her.

That picture literally screams New England. Very cool place and I'm sure you are excited about it. I would be.

    I'd like to see a picture aout mid-February. :)

ooph, Tim, thats a rough run of it. Glad you're mom's back up and running. Wish I knew more about those Astrovans.

Cats grew fast in a year. I remember that cat being a kitten and enjoying my shoes entirely too much. Glad she's not a tripod.

And that's quite a homestead. If I may, it may be time to make another trip out that way. We never really argue a reason to go to VT, if we're invited of course.

If you need help with anything, I should have a truck in a couple of weeks - I'd be glad to pitch in wherever I can in moving or whatever else may be needed.

Tim: Sorry to hear about the bad run of events. As others have said, it sounds as though your mother is a tough old bird and will be fine.

The cat's cute and that's the same color cast that my cat had last year about this time after he broke all 5 metatarsals in his front paw. (He's back to normal today without so much as a slight limp.) Bailey will keep the kitty well exercised. :7 :7 :7

The new place looks real nice. I see a chimney sticking out of the smaller of the "barns". I assume that's gonna be the shop! The sign out front is close to the New Yankee Workshop. ;)

Eric, the door's always open, the invitation stands always. Ain't no bad times, even... it'd be good to gimme a few hours notice, though. :)

No moving, really, to be done; we've (Marie & I, you remember Marie) been living in the house for the last month for reasons complicated. Saturday (as in yesterday) we brought the last little tidbitty details here so we're all packed in now. Place is all aclutter still, as places will be for a while after a movein, and I still hafta' figure out some sneakery way to get the milling machine into the heated part of the shop (it's only one hair smaller than the doorway when it's twisted just right on the way in, and there are three steps to climb with it, and it's 600 pounds), but heck - we're ready for visitors any dang ol' time. :)

    RE: Mother

Did that green thing smell half as bad as this one does? I think they do that so the cats won't lick it... but DANG the cat's gotta' sleep with that smell & all...

Got news. The whole BUILDING is all shop! :) The part with the chimney is futured as the higher-precision area (machineshop, routers, table saws, bandsaws), the near end (in the photo) is automotive & welding, and the middle (to the left of the sign on the front) gets the "messier" woodworking machines - the planer, the jointer, that sorta' thing.

And... a goodly portion of the house basement is the lathe center. It gets its own bandsaw, grinder, & belt sander to support woodturning. I can turn with toasty tootsies all winter long...!!! :)

    Oh Ma Gawd! ADORABLE! :) :) :) !!!

They don't have to be big turd makers to be great early warning systems!
We have two 10-11 pounders that are great warning systems, and Mr. Big Barks (50 pounder) who has made people step back off the porch.
Teach him (her?) to stay OUT of the road. Start now and it's easier. ;)
