My present comes next week

My Christmas present comes next week and it is going to kill me to not be able to ride it till Spring.The LOML let me trade bikes today and we will be making the trade next week. I am going from a 2002 750 Honda Shadow to a 2008 900 Kawasaki Vulcan ltd.I have had the Honda less than 6 months and am getting $100 more on trade than I paid for it. The new bike has saddle bags back rest and windshield and is belt drive. It should be a more comfortable ride for the wife and a little more power plus it has 2 year full warranty. I didn't feel like I could pass the deal up.This could be one long cold winter:+

When I lived just south of Pittsburgh, there rarely was a week that I didn't ride my bike. Some rides would last an hour or two, others would last but 15 minutes.

I did notice that 15° seemed to be short ride / long ride discriminator. Below 15° was always a short ride.

The bike was covered up with battery in the shop on a maintainer. Just finished getting it out and back together for the trade. Had to scoop the driveway of the 1" snow fall first.The new one will go back in the same corner with the cover so no sitting on it just a lot of staring while sitting in the shop dreaming.
