RE: Assault on my TS!
That does suck... but at least for all practical purposes it's entirely cosmetic.
I know - cover it with sawdust! :) :) :)

Well, the bright side is that area will not rust as easily as the rest of the table top. Killed rust acts as a deterrent to future rust. :)

That really sucks.
When I came back from the hurricane evacuation I cringed when I saw the rust on my TS and BS.

Man, I can understand your being mad. I'm paranoid about people even walking into my shop with a can of soda. I immediately instruct them NOT to set it on any tool surface.

Hey, at least it was beer and not like, zima, or hard lemonade or something else not worthy of a TS :)

Yeah I get kinda emotional about stuff like that - but i don't hunt anybody down.
Like Cody - I watch like a hawk - anybody in my shop, to be sure no cold wet cans or glasses get put on my nice cast iron surfaces.

Nah, you can even let it get a little worse. That way you can saw and sand at the same time. ;)

How did you get it so clean? We had a big temperature swing a while back and all my stuff rusted. I couldn't get mine nearly as clean.
I've already typed this once and tried to post but it didn't show up for some reason, so now if it shows up twice I apologize.
