I am proud to say that I am now officially a father!!!!!

The little one arrived last Tuesday, April 14, at 3:36 p.m. He was 7 lbs 5 oz. and was 20 inches long.

It has been a crazy, hectic, emotional, joyous, surprising, spectacular, wonderful, TIRING!, amazing, eye-opening last few days and I am just getting the time to let you all know about the elation my wife and I are feeling.

I am just in awe every time I hold him or look at him. His little toes and fingers, eyes, fat little cheeks, mouth, ears, everything about him is just a little miniature version of a big person, lol!

And I am pleased to announce that the changing table I made is working flawlessly. The crib is still too big but I couldn't resist putting him in it for a few seconds just to show him that his daddy can make stuff.

Congrats! Now the fun begins, Enjoy them while they are little. Once the walking and talking begins, so does the real work.

Congrats Eric. You are a lucky man. The joy of fatherhood is one not to be missed. Reading your post and all its excitement reminded of being in the delivery room 2-1/2 years ago for my daughter. No matter how many diapers, middle of the night feedings, spills and whatever else it is truly fantastic. It sounds like you know that. Enjoy.

Thanks to all of you guys!!

And thanks for the warmth you've extended since I joined the forum. This is a wonderful place. I've already learned alot of cool tricks with my woodworking and I feel as though I've gained some new friends. Thanks for welcoming me the way you have.

And I am still amazed at the whole experience of fatherhood. It's just unbelievable!
