DIY Plumbers,Kitchen Fawcett????????
One spout, two handles,,,,,,,,The hot water line started squealing when you turned it on and then a few days later the cold started doing the same thing, now both do it depending on which is in use of course.Fawcett assembly is only a couple years old,is there a fix other than a new one?

RE: DIY Plumbers,Kitchen Fawcett????????
Seems to me that the o-rings in the cartridges are squalling. Does it just squeak from the action of turning it, or does it squeal as water runs through it, the whole time water's running?
If you pop the knobs off (Philips screwdriver, after removing the plastic "H" and "C" caps), and TURN THE WATER OFF AT THE SHUTOFFS, you can remove the cartridges pretty easily. The o-rings (rubber, or Viton, or something similar) are either on the bottoms of the cartridges or down inside the cartridge wells... probably on the cartridges themselves. You can get replacement o-rings all sortsa' places.

You might try popping the diffuser screen out of the faucet tip, too... that might be vibrating from crud buildup.

You might have already solved your problem, but I had a similar problem with the water line on the toilet tank. Made a heck of a squeal. I found that the water supply valve was not opened fully. Once I opened it up, no more squeal. Hope that helps you and if not maybe it helps someone else.
