Home built router table and lift

You folks are the people who would most understand that I am excited about this project, so I thought I would document it and get your thoughts on some of the aspects of it ...

the holder for the router ...

it will slide on 4 tracks. that should keep it firmly in place ...

here it is mocked up on the table top into which it is going

    A pretty getto insert huh?

I hope you can post a video of it in use once you get it completed. I think it's neat that you are taking the time to do this and documenting the process.

Hey Chris I am really interested in looking more at the this design (hoping to get around to starting a table this weekend), but for some reason all the pics are cut in half vertically from the ad... Do you have them hosted somewhere you could link me to?

scratch that- I can scroll- I just need to scroll them ALL together

can you tell us about the vertical rail pieces?

Ah, yes. Those are plastic lattice support rails that i got at home depot. There is a an area in the fencing section where they have plastic lattice. They were there, on a shelf behind the lattice, so it was hard to find it. They come in white and brown, and are 1/4" wide, and 8' long.

Perfect for this kind of thing and many other uses with 1/4" pieces.

i re-sized the images, and made a little page with them all to make it a little easier to look at.
