    Shop Notes Ultimate Panel Saw

    Folks,

After a five and half year wait, I FINALLY built my very own panel saw!!! From Shop Notes Issue 88, my new panel saw has a sliding carriage and takes up just ten lineal feet of wall space. I and a fellow woodworker followed the directions pretty much to the letter, but there were a few improvements we made, the most obvious is adding an extension to the top of the unit to allow for cutting a sheet of plywood beyond 80"...

This panel saw will be a boon in our shared shop space. I also built a parts rack to hold parts prior to assembly...

Wow David! I would have thought that you had one of those years ago!

What are you using for the saw? I can see one but can not tell what it is. And blade? Dust collection?

    Keystone,

I DID have a standard panel a few years ago, which I sold when I thought I could build this one, but plans change in an economy such as ours. Milwaukee circular saw, Fruend Diablo 7.25" 60 tooth blade, no dust collection...yet...
