Definitely put up some plants, they make your home a lot better because it brings a certain kind of peace and relaxation to your garden. Just some LED lights will probably do the job.

Basic tips which I did in my front yard that turns out a little garden:
Make a plan or invision what do you want your garden to look like.
Think about your goal for the primary use of the area.
Choose plants that you like and coordinates with some pottery that fits in.
And also try to find books and magazine for reference.

    Thank you michladav,

I really appreciate all suggestions here and got this idea - perhaps I need to put some flower plants (Anthurium) and Buddha garden statue (looks great ) with Tiki torches on both sides. But I'm still searching for types of torches I'll be using...any suggestions, where I could find torches, w/ cheaper cost?

There are immense way by which you can decorate your garden. But it basically depends on location and the size of the area you want to work with. Weather/climate plays a major role while designing/decorating a garden. You may decorate it with water fountains, pools, benches, swings, feeders and bird houses.

you can add camellia, winch hazel, poppy, rose, dogwood to name a few in your garden. Then come to furniture. The furniture if picked aptly adds life to the garden. The lights too are a must haves for a garden. You can go for antique type lights or the lantern style which never get out dated.

Fencing is one of the sure thing that you should do. Don't put too much grass else it will look weird. Also keep corners of your garden for flowers. Make your plants grow in rows.
