I knew things were going a little too good on the Shaker sewing table I am making. Made the cabinet out of Brizilian mahogney and the top out of African mahogney and everthing was going along pretty good until I noticed the drawers look purple and the rest of the cabinet looks red. I put veneer fronts on the drawers and that turned out alright but what do I do about the drawers that look down right purple? Can I bleach the veneer and stain them a deep red like the rest of the cabinet? Barry

Wood filler is often used to repair wood that is not in the best shape. After you use a wood filler, you should use a waterproof varnish or sealer to protect the wood.
