    Formica on Prefinished plywood

Would there be a problem using contact cement to apply Formica to prefishied Plywood? Would the contact cement hold to the finish?

    Prefinished with...?

It'd probably be fine. Contact cement bonds like crazy to nearly anything but Teflon and glass.

Not sure what ever the Prefinished plywood comes with from the wood store. Probably a Cat laqcur or poly in an industral mass quantity type deal.

You could take a little can of contact cement with ya to the store. :)

It'd only take about fifteen minutes to find out how well it bonds.

Actually, they may have a scrap you could try it with, if they do any cutting.

If you scuff sand the surface, and use solvent base contact cement, it will work on just about any wood finish that is cured.
