Be sure to sign and date under the bottom of the seat for authentication years from now. Neat.
I have a branding iron that I will brand the seat bottom with after it is sanded. I hadn't thought about putting on the date before. Will do that also. I have an our or so at sanding and then it's time for a coat of stain.
Thanks, It is also as heavy as it looks. The plans come from Rockler. Of all of their plans i've used, this one had a lot of ambiguity and took a lot of thought to understand what they intended. Only wasted about 1 bd ft because of that.
Hardware is fitted nad final sanding is complete. Time to open the can of stain.
Now that I have my new router table up and running, I decideed to give it a workout along with SawStop contractors saw. We have our first grandchild due in late summer so I thought I would make him a highchair out of hard maple. It still needs a final sanding (tomorrow) and then staining and several coats of poly.
Had a real tough time resizing the pictures, but I think they are somewhat usable. The Forum really needs to update their picture upload utility.
I completely concur with the solid wood door particularly when it has a excellent end and also top quality variety. It's a traditional and definately will match up virtually all types of equipment....
