First of all, I want to thank Lou, Ned, Kelly, and Anthony for replying to my first message on this topic. I have another question: Does anyone know anything about a Master Elite kit sold by Home Depot? It is made by Master Fasteners. It comes with two guns - a brad nailer and a finish nailer, compressor and all the accessories in one kit. I don't know anything about this company and am wondering if it is decent equipment and if nails are easily obtainable like they would be on the more well-known brands.
Any comments from users or anyone that knows anything about this company and its equipment would be appreciated.
I don't know anything about this product or company. But, in general I would be very careful in buying a complete kit from a non name brand. I have had problems in the past getting staples for my Stanley. I buought it a home depot and two years later they changed to PC and stopped keeping the stanley staples.
My advice is the same on all tools. buy the best, save until you can get the best you will spend less money in the long run. Go for name brands.
Master Fasteners is a fairly well known brand. They are Taiwanese imports sold through many outlets. They are decent quality, neither the highest or lowest. I'm almost sure that the nails used by master fasteners are compatible with Senco and Porter Cable.
If you are planning to use your compressor to spray finishes you will need a lot of air. Depending on the gun, somewhere in the 10 CFM range. However, there are small finish sprayers that only need 3 CFM.
