Post Guidelines
This Forum
was created to give woodworkers a place to discuss the exchange
of materials and services. Here are the main guidelines:
- You're trading
with friends...which can be both reassuring and risky. Be honest
and forthcoming in your descriptions of items or services.
- Actual negotiation
for trades must take place off-line or through personal e-mails.
- This is
strictly woodworker-to-woodworker trades and not for toolcompanyX.com
to woodworkers. Commercial posts will be deleted and should be
reported to the administrator.
- To maintain
quality control, participation in the Trading Post Forum is for
registered Forum members only. Anyone can view this Forum, but
only registered members can post.
- Participants
should read the Terms and Conditions listed
below.

Terms
and Conditions
The
following terms and conditions apply to Forum Member's use of the
Trading Post Forum on woodworking.com.
Non-commercial
Trades
The exchange of goods or services is limited to individuals or to
businesses that are primarily active in the craft or trade of woodworking.
It excludes offers by off- or on-line retailers or wholesalers.
It will be up to the discretion of Woodworking.com to remove posts
it deems "commercial."
Trading
Post is only a Venue
Trading Post is a venue to facilitate the listing of goods and services
by the participating Forum Member (user) and the exchange of such
goods and services by other users. User acknowledges and agrees
that exchanges of goods and services on the Trading Post are transactions
with the respective User and not with Woodworking.com. Woodworking.com
shall not be responsible for, and does not control, the quality,
safety or legality of the items advertised, the truth or accuracy
of the listings, or the ability of users to exchange items. Woodworking.com
shall not be responsible for, and does not control, whether or not
users will complete the exchange of items.
Woodworking.com
does not represent or endorse the accuracy, reliability, integrity
or legality of any advice, opinion, offer, proposal, statement,
listing, data or other information (collectively, "Content") displayed
or distributed through the Trading Post Forum. Some Content accessible
on the Woodworking.com Web site may be believed to be harmful, offensive,
or inaccurate, and in some cases may be mislabeled or deceptively
labeled. Woodworking.com hereby disclaims any liability for any
Content, including, but not limited to, any errors in or omissions
of any Content, or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as
a result of the use of or reliance on any Content posted, e-mailed
or otherwise transmitted via the Trading Post Forum. Woodworking.com
shall have no obligation to review Content posted to the Trading
Post Forum by users. Woodworking.com shall have the right, but not
the obligation, in its sole discretion, to correct any errors or
omissions in any portion of the Trading Post Forum or to disclose
any information as necessary to satisfy any law, regulation or government
request, or to edit, modify, refuse to post or remove any Content,
in whole or in part, that in Woodworking.com's sole discretion is
objectionable or in violation of this Agreement.
Woodworking.com
shall have no responsibility to, and does not, investigate the background
of or confirm the identity of users of Trading Post. User should
exercise caution in dealing with other users to avoid fraud and
other disputes, including without limitation, using direct communication
with other users to evaluate with whom the user is dealing. User
may provide feedback in the Forum Trading Post to help others in
the evaluation of other users. User acknowledges, however, that
such feedback represents solely the opinion of user and is not an
opinion, representation or warranty by Woodworking.com.
Disputes
Woodworking.com is not a party to, and shall not be involved in
or responsible for, transactions, agreements and/or disputes between
users of Trading Post ("Dispute"). In the event of a Dispute, user
agrees to release, and does hereby release, Woodworking.com (and
its agents, contractors and employees) from claims, demands and
damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known
and unknown, suspected and unsuspected, disclosed and undisclosed,
arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes.
User agrees
that it shall not involve Woodworking.com in any Dispute or litigation
arising out of or related to any transaction, agreement or arrangement
with any buyer, seller, advertiser or other third party in connection
with the Trading Post. If User nonetheless attempts to do so, User
shall pay all costs and attorneys' fees of Woodworking.com.
Taxes
Woodworking.com is not responsible for, and does not collect, income
or other similar taxes with respect to transactions occurring between
User and any other party, except as may be required by applicable
federal or state law in particular cases. The reporting and payment
of any such taxes is the legal responsibility of each user who exchanges
goods or services via the Trading Post.
