I've just discovered "cow magnets" and their usefulness around the shop. These powerful magnets are about 2" long, rounded at both ends and lodge in a cow's stomach. They are supposed to collect odd pieces of iron from passing into the cow's intestines. I have one taped to the end of a broomstick for picking up nails, screws and nuts. Other uses include keeping chuck keys in place and so on.
