Customize the rolling ottoman with your choice of wood species and fabric that complements the rest of your living space.

1

Cut the Pieces

You will need to use 1/2" thick MDF or an alternate material for the base and 3/4" thick white oak or other hardwood for the additional parts. 1-3/4" thick white oak or other hardwood is used for the bracing.

2

Building the Ends

Use #8 x 1 1⁄2" screws and decorative washers to attach all pieces except for bottom slats. For the bottom slats, use only screws. Predrill all holes to avoid splitting the wood.

3

Add the Sides

Use #8 x 1 1⁄2" screws and decorative washers to attach all pieces. Predrill all holes to avoid splitting the wood.

4

Attach the Bottom

Use #8 x 1 1⁄2" screws without decorative washers to attach bottom slats. Predrill all holes to avoid splitting the wood.

5

Build the Top

Use #8 x 1 1⁄2" screws and decorative washers to attach all pieces. Predrill all holes to avoid splitting the wood, but make sure not to drill through top slats.

6

Bring it All Together

Cut foam to 17 3⁄4" x 30 3⁄4" and align on Part F. Upholster with fabric of your choice. Use #8 x 1 1⁄4" screws with washers to attach upholstered top. Use mounting screws and follow instructions included with casters.
